What works, what to weigh

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Excellent location near Hauptbahnhof and U-Bahn — The hotel is a short walk from Vienna's main train station and the Südtiroler Platz U-Bahn stop, making access to the airport and central sights easy.
  • Quiet, comfortable rooms with air conditioning — Guests report well-soundproofed rooms, often with courtyard or garden views that block out Favoritenstrasse noise. Air conditioning is standard.
  • 24-hour reception and flexible check-in — The front desk operates around the clock, and late arrivals are handled smoothly. Express check-in/out and luggage storage add convenience.
  • Strong value for Vienna — Guests note that the hotel's location a short ride from the center keeps prices lower, while still being only three subway stops from St. Stephen's.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Favoritenstrasse can be busy and noisy — The main street outside is a main road, and some guests mention traffic noise unless the room faces the courtyard or garden.
  • Not in the historic center — The hotel sits in the Wieden district, a few metro stops from the Old Town. Walking to the very center takes 25–30 minutes.
  • Breakfast is decent but not exceptional — Reviews describe a fairly acceptable buffet with eggs, breads, and pastries, but it doesn't draw particular praise beyond being serviceable.
  • Smaller rooms lack extra storage — Standard rooms offer basic amenities, while larger categories have bathtubs, coffee machines, and sometimes balconies. Budget plain rooms may feel compact.

“We picked this place for the 24-hour reception since we arrived very late, and the night staff was really nice. The room was clean and airy, and we had all the toiletries we needed. Wi-Fi was strong throughout, it was totally quiet, and we could leave our bags all day on checkout at no extra cost. It's also close to the airport bus stop. Would absolutely stay again.”

8.6Verified guest

“We chose it to be near the station and it looked modern and well kept. Our room on the fifth floor by the lift was spacious and quiet, overlooking the courtyard, with comfy beds, international TV, plenty of plugs, and a functional bathroom. Breakfast was a decent buffet with eggs, cheeses, cereals, fruit, and pastries.”

“The room was spotless and modern, with a big bathroom and all the amenities. The location is only three subway stops from the center (St. Stephen's), which is a small trade-off for much lower prices.”
